Terms of Service

Dollar Signs is operated by Tynes Signs (Creighton Tynes) in Coker, Alabama. It's a private benchmarking community where vetted sign painters share what real jobs actually cost. The short version: every price here is one painter's own number or opinion — never a rate card, never an agreement. Keep member data inside the app, never use it to coordinate bids or set prices together, post honest numbers, and be decent to each other. Membership

Membership is invite-only and limited to people professionally involved in the sign trade. We approve, decline, suspend, or remove memberships at our discretion. You must be at least 18, use one account per person (via Sign in with Apple), and are responsible for activity on your account. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time in the app or by email.

What the app is — and isn't

The app is an educational benchmarking community: members share the details and prices of their own jobs, and others submit their own independent estimates of what they would charge.

• Every price, bid, and estimate is one member's own experience or opinion.
• The app does not publish rate cards, recommend prices, calculate "market rates," or represent any consensus of the trade.
• Nothing here is business, financial, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for your own pricing decisions, which must reflect your own independent judgment of your own costs and market.

Pricing-data conduct

These rules keep the community on the right side of antitrust law. You agree you will not use the app (or contacts made through it) to:

• Fix prices — reach or imply any agreement with other members about the prices, rates, or terms you or they will charge in the future;
• Rig bids — coordinate or discuss pricing for any job another member is also bidding. If you learn a member is competing for the same job, don't discuss that job's pricing with them through the app;
• Boycott — agree with other members to collectively refuse to deal with any client, supplier, or competitor.

Every estimate you submit must be your own independent professional judgment. We may remove content or members that violate this section.

Your content

• You own the content you post. You grant us a license to host and display it within the app to operate the service.
• Only post what you have the right to share. Don't post client information you're bound to keep confidential, or others' work as your own.
• Post honest numbers. Fabricated prices poison the dataset and are grounds for removal.
• You can edit or delete your own posts, except where the app restricts deletion because other members have invested estimates.

Community confidentiality

The community only works if its data stays inside it. You agree not to screenshot, record, export, scrape, republish, or share other members' posts, prices, estimates, photos, or identities outside the app without the author's written permission. We use technical measures (including screenshot blocking) to help, but this promise is the real protection. Violating it is grounds for immediate removal.

Acceptable use & moderation

Don't harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone; post unlawful, infringing, or hateful content; use bots or scrapers; or interfere with the app or its security. We may review, remove, or refuse any content at our discretion. You can report objectionable content or abusive members in the app or by email; we aim to act on reports within 24 hours.

Disclaimers & liability

The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Prices and estimates may be wrong, outdated, or specific to another market — no accuracy is promised. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost profits or business opportunities (including outcomes of bids or jobs you price using information from the app), and our total liability for all claims is capped at US $50. You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content or your violation of these terms.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app and is not responsible for claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Termination, changes & law

We may suspend or terminate your membership at any time. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continued use is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. See also the Dollar Signs Privacy Policy.
